Some detail shots from the reception, which was gorgeous. Alan’s parents hosted it in their backyard. And yes–I was a little obsessed with those mini cakes. They were made out of fudge! How awesome can you get!?!? The cake was also amazing, and I loved using the temple spires to display their rings!

Lindsay. Need I say more?

Wow. Before I get started on this gorgeous bride, I have an announcement to make! After months and months of saving, I have finally upgraded my camera! And I LOVE it. Holy smokes. This was my first session I shot with my 5D and I couldn’t be more happy with it. This is also the first session during which I exclusively used my 50mm 1.8 lens. It stretched me a bit, because I had no zoom, but it sure delivered!

Mother Nature threatened to overthrow our bridal session. About 10 minutes before we were scheduled to meet at Thanksgiving Point, the sky opened up and oh boy did it rain! I had come from Orem, though, where the clouds had already passed through, so I was hoping it would move along in 15 or 20 minutes. Lindsay was convinced she just had rotten luck, because we had icky weather the day of their engagement shoot, too. But lo and behold–once she had changed into her dress, you couldn’t even tell it had rained!! The pavement was almost dry, the sun was shining, and the sky was partly cloudy. Thank you, Utah weather. So much for bad luck, huh? I’ll bet all y’all would agree with me when I say she couldn’t have picked a better day. Check these out!

About a month ago, these two beautiful people tied the knot at the Jordan River temple. We lucked out big time on the weather! There were storm forecasts galore, but somehow we pulled off partly cloudy skies for all the pictures! Booyah!

Okay, so in all honesty these two got married this morning, and I am filling my limbo time in between the sealing and reception by catching up on my blogging! I am so close! But nevertheless–check out this fantastic couple! We shot their engagement session at the botany pond just south of BYU and a couple up on campus. Alan and Stephanie met here, so the campus has a lot of special meaning to them!

We were so excited (okay, let’s be honest. Stephannie and I were excited) to get pictures with the blossoms! Unfortunately, there was a huge storm the day or two before, so the blossoms were all blown away. But there was this one tree (see below…)! It happened to be right on the staircase leading up to campus, which meant a lot of in-between-students picture taking, but it was totally worth it!
