Daxton :: Senior 2010

I cannot believe how fast time flies! Daxton is one of my little bro’s best friends, and they are GRADUATING on FRIDAY! bwuuuuUUUUT!? I was lucky enough to get to take Daxton’s senior pictures, and we had a blast…

I can just envision a graduation announcement with this one… “Watch out, REAL WORLD! Here comes DAXTON!” Oh, how I love it.

Thanks so much for a fun morning!

{The C Family}

This is Tyler. He’s going on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Since he will be gone for the next two years, it was naturally time to get a family portrait taken!

Meet the family…

Have I mentioned that I adore them??

The Prom

Wow. Taking my brother’s prom group’s pictures really gave me a trip down memory lane. Unlike some people, I loved high school. I’m glad to be happily moved on and where I am today, but I really enjoyed that short period of my life. So seeing all these young’uns with their dates was so much fun.

My goal when I shoot prom pictures is to make the actual picture taking process as fun as possible. I remember waiting in line for dance pictures for multiple hours sometimes, and waiting in line was usually fun, but the actual picture taking–bleh.

BORING.

So I decided to take a photo booth approach, and it was a huge hit this year, as it was last year. So without further ado… I give you Prom 2010.

(In the actual prints the students received it had “____ High School, Prom 2010”, but for the sake of Privacy, that has been removed from the images…)

Garrett & Jenny :: ENGAGED

What. A. Blast.

Seriously.

Garrett and I went to high school together and really–he was pretty much the best guy friend a girl could ever ask for. No joke. So I was absolutely thrilled when I found out he was engaged, and BEYOND thrilled when he and Jenny asked me to do their pictures! I had so much fun shooting with them, and because of that I had a killer time trying to narrow down my selection for the blog. I started out with 45 images (give or take a couple), so really–y’all are lucky I was able to get it down to 25! Plus–one of these isn’t even of them. It’s of me. 🙂

A tire swing? Seriously!? Obviously, I couldn’t resist… 🙂

Why am I posting a picture of me? Well, I wanted y’all to see the lengths I go to to get pictures. Yeah. I know. I look like I’m about to get struck by lightning. I don’t know if I’d go THAT far… But Garrett and Jenny sure had a good laugh when they saw me at the bottom of the slide, so they insisted on getting a picture. And no. I didn’t even slide down the slide. Just stood on it. Oh yeah. And almost fell off of it, too. Twice. 🙂

Old tubs? Sign me up.

Garrett and Jenny got engaged at Discovery Park, so–to satisfy my cheesy side–we did a little reenactment. In the exact location he proposed. You know it!

Okay, let’s be honest. This was what the shoot was like half the time. Goofballs…. 🙂

I spy, with my little eye… Someone that is GORGEOUS!!!

And there they go… off into the sunset…

…on their tiny. little. scooter. thing. 🙂

Meet Laurel.

Isn’t she fabulous? Now let me tell you–if I look this good when my oldest is 21–BOO.YAH. Her hubby’s birthday is coming up (not to mention Valentine’s Day, which doubles as their anniversary!), and new pictures of her is her gift to him!

What a fantastic idea! Somethin’ for all y’all ladies to consider next time a special occasion rolls around! What more could your man want than a smokin’ hot picture of you for his office/den/bedroom/wherever!?

Anyhoo, because these are a gift, I have been patiently holding off from posting them–but I finally have to go-ahead to share them all with you! I have been SOOO antsy to get these up here! Enjoy! (Because I know you will…)

Are her eyes stunning or what!?

I’m don’t usually post too many black and whites, because I LOVE color so much, so there were so many of hers that I couldn’t decide on! So it’s about half and half this time… 🙂

Gor.geous.

John and Cassi :: Married!

We really lucked out the day these two got married! The forecast was predicting snow pretty much all day, but all we saw were blue skies! I have to warn you, though–I had a very difficult time narrowing these down, so eventually I just thought, “Why bother!? I’ll just post a ton!” 🙂 Hope you enjoy them!

I loved this moment…

Check out Cassi’s boots! LOVE!

Again… loved the boots.

The elevator shot took two tries… It took us a bit to get centered and everything, and after holding the “door open” button for a while it started to buzz at us! In shock, dear Amy released the button, sending my bride and groom away. But the second time was much more successful! And thank you, Amy, for your ninja invisibility skills!

This is one of my favorite shots from the luncheon. I can’t remember what John was celebrating over, but it was fabulous!

All of Cassi’s brothers broke into the haka (the words were improvised…). So funny.

Thanks again, John and Cassi, for letting me share your special day with you!
