Ummm… soo… remember that time I used to blog?

Yeah. Me too.

I’ve put photography on the back burner for about a year now. Last time I posted I was roughly four months pregnant with my second daughter. Remember how pregnancies are supposed to last nine months? Well, little Sydney decided she only wanted to bake in the oven for six. No worries–she’s absolutely fine and chunky and wonderful now. But the two months leading up to her birth were INSANE and then the three months after she was born she was in the NICU, so that was… well… ALSO INSANE. August 1st rolled around, and we got to take our girlie pie home. I consider the next month or two my maternity leave–you know, adjusting to having two kids at home, and all the sleep deprivation…

THEN–we put an offer on a shortsale in mid-September.

Cue the waiting…. and waiting… and waiting…

Finally on February 29th we closed that deal. Then came the beginnings of the updates on the main floor. Then came the moving in… with updates still unfinished. That brings us to today. Most of the boxes are unpacked, and the updates are STILL not finished. Although they are ALMOST done. We just need trim around the doors, new doors hung, baseboards, and a backsplash. Oh, and I guess I should paint the cabinet doors too. 🙂

Whew! That was more than a little long-winded. MY BAD. But hey. Life happens.

For the last couple of weeks I’ve been really itching to get my photo blog updated. There are so many AWESOME sessions that I never got around to putting up here before my life got crazy!

Peter called me as I was making final preparations for my trip to Utah in July. The timing was perfect and I was able to squeeze in a session with him before flying back to Florida! Here are some of my favorites!
